Massachusetts Declaration of Rights § XVII (1780), in 3 id. at 1892.
"The people have a right to keep and to bear arms for the common defense. And as, in time of peace, armies are dangerous to liberty, they ought not to be maintained without the consent of the legislature; and the military power shall always be held in an exact subordination to the civil authority, and be governed by it."

This is a week-long event supporting the second amendment in Massachusetts. Between October 15th - October 20th, we encourage you to obtain a Cruise for the 2 card at participating sporting goods stores throughout the state. You will receive a free drawing ticket at each participating store you visit. If you purchase a firearm (at a firearms store), or air gun @ New England AirGun, you will receive 5 additional tickets.
On October 21st, join us in a state wide cruise visiting 5 participating Sportsman's clubs throughout the state and get a poker card. There will also be letter writing or other activities available opposing HD4420. When you have collected all 5 cards, join your fellow patriots at the Brookfield Rod and Gun Club (56 Webber Rd., Brookfield, MA) and turn in all of your tickets and Cruise for the 2 card. Raffle winners will be drawn that afternoon and we are hoping to have food trucks. Gun Owners Action League (GOAL) will be on site to activate or renew memberships to help the fight. There is no fee or registration cost for the event and we will be taking donations to support legal and legislative efforts. This event is to help support the fight we have going on and GOAL is going to lead us in that defense.
