The Sheridan brand has always been produced in .20-caliber, so this .22-caliber version will surely become a collectible! Made in limited quantities, the Sheridan 2260MB has a metal breech.
Using an 18.2-grain lead pellet, achieved 515 f.p.s. After settling down, our test gun consistently shot 500 f.p.s. with this heavier ammo and had a standard deviation of only 5 f.p.s. Very few guns have such a low standard deviation, and that low rate is almost unheard of in CO2 guns. The manufacturer states the max velocity is 600 f.p.s., which would require a lighter pellet.
This wood-stocked CO2 pellet rifle will deliver hours of entertainment for the whole family. It's easy to cock and accurate. The ambidextrous stock is easy to shoulder, and the light weight means it'll be easy to shoot for longer periods.
If you'd like to teach someone to shoot, this would make a good training tool. Generally speaking, using a single-shot air rifle with open sights is the best way to teach someone how to properly and safely handle guns.
